ADHD Counseling

Over the last few years, I have found more and more of my clients getting diagnosed with ADHD or mentioning that they were diagnosed as a child but have never received treatment for it. This has since prompted me to dive deeper into learning about ADHD and better help the women I treat that have ADHD. I am currently working on a training (it is in progress) to get certified in ADHD work.

I have found that for many of my adult women, their symptoms of ADHD do not look like what we typical hear about or see from a young child. Often times things in their life can look very organized from the outside, but feel very chaotic inside.

I have found that when we can treat and manage the ADHD directly in therapy, and often times with the client also taking medication prescribed by their doctor, we can help reduce the symptoms and the impact of these symptoms. I have also seen this lower client’s symptoms of anxiety and depression if the ADHD is the route cause.

At this time, I do not provide the initial diagnosis of ADHD and only treat adults. If you have been diagnosed with ADHD then feel free to reach out to see if I would be a good fit in helping manage these symptoms!
